what is the return policy?
We do not accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final.

when will I get my order?
Each made-to-order piece is crafted by hand and ready within 5 days. Delivery time depends on the shipping method selected at checkout. Once your order is on its way, you can follow its journey using the available shipping information.
where are your products manufactured?
All L’AUTRE pieces are handmade in Washington, D.C. Each item is individually poured and finished by hand, making every piece unique.
how much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on your order total:
- Orders up to $49.99 — $10 shipping.
- Orders from $50 to $199.99 — $15 shipping.
- Orders from $200 to $449.99 — $20 shipping.

what are your candles made of?
We use 100% natural, premium organic coconut and soy wax blends, lead-free cotton wicks, and high-quality fragrance oils. Our candles are heavily scented, leaving a beautiful aroma in your space even before they are lit.
what are the trays made of, and can I wash them?
Our custom trays are handcrafted from high-quality, eco-friendly mineral gypsum stone. They are completely natural and intentionally left without shiny synthetic varnish to preserve their smooth, tactile matte stone texture. They are sealed against light moisture, but they are not waterproof. Please do not submerge them in water—simply wipe them gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
my tray has tiny surface bubbles. Is it a defect?
No, absolutely not. Tiny air bubbles and slight color shifts are natural characteristics of hand-poured mineral stone. These are not flaws—they are the authentic, unique fingerprint of a handmade art object.
how does the reversible tray work?
This is our signature concept. One side of the custom tray features a perfect recess designed to hold your candle securely. Once your candle finishes burning and you clear the remaining wax, you can turn the damn thing over. The reverse side acts as a completely flat, seamless minimal catchall tray for your keys, jewelry, or daily essentials. Every side matters.
do you sell candle refills?
Yes! Our system is built for longevity. If you already own our mineral tray, you don’t need to buy a new one every time. You can purchase standalone candle refills from our collection, drop them right into the tray’s recess, and continue your ritual.
what if my order arrives broken?
Mineral plaster is durable, but mail carriers can sometimes be rough. If your tray or candle arrives damaged or broken during transit, please take a photo of the damaged product and packaging immediately and email it to us at hello@lautre.shop within 48 hours of delivery. I will make it right.
